Location and History
Bruce Township is located in the north / western corner of Macomb County. It is located about 43 miles north of downtown Detroit. The township itself is 6 square miles but a small part of Romeo is just inside the southern line. View map for location of Bruce Township

2009, there were 38 homes and 3 condos sold with an average sales price of $203,907 for homes and $143,370 for condos. The average market time 114 days for homes and 98 days for condos. There were 2 lots sold at an average sales price of $49,800.
Travel
M-53 is the main way into Bruce Township and it runs north and south. On the south end is 32 mile and the main road to get east and west and access to both major expressways I-94 and I-75. Just as a note several of the roads are still gravel but maintained by the county road commission.
Shopping
As for shopping there are 4 large shopping malls within 30 -45 minutes - Lakeside Mall, Partridge Creek , the Village of Rochester Hills and Macomb Mall. There are also several strip centers in the area with large chains and numerous restaurants. Plus downtown Romeo and downtown Rochester Hills both feature several small boutique stores.
Education
Bruce Township consists of 3 school districts. Almost all of Bruce is covered by the Romeo school district but a small section is covered by Armada and Almont. Within 30 minutes just south east is Macomb Community College where you can receive an associates degree and through Macomb University a bachelor's and master's degree. Also in neighboring Rochester, Michigan you will find Oakland University which offers 132 baccalaureate degree programs and 117 graduate degree and certificate programs.
Hospitals
Henry Ford Macomb Hospital located in nearby Clinton Township offers 435 beds, along with a heart center, cancer center, birthing center and more. They also offer a Health Care center right in Bruce on Van Dyke. Children's Hospital of Michigan Stilson Specialty Center is also located in Clinton Township and offers all types of pediatric specialties. Just south in Macomb Township is the Beaumont medical center along with several other large hospitals throughout Macomb, Oakland and Wayne County.
Theater
Macomb Center for the Performing Arts is located just south in Clinton Township and features various shows like the Letterman, Ann Margaret, Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers, Lou Rawls and the Temptations. On the grounds of Oakland University you will find The Meadow Brook Theatre which also offers high quality entertainment.

Extras
Macomb Orchard Trail, winds through Bruce Township just north of 32 Mile and crosses over the Van Dyke freeway as it heads east on it's way to Richmond Township. On the south side of 32 Mile the trail runs south through Washington Township on into Shelby Township and into Stony Creek Metro Park Since golfing is big in Macomb here's a list of several golf courses in the area including some right in Bruce Township.
